I've got another question about parts swapping

I've been looking for hours through threads but I cannot find much info on it. I was going to swap the entire crossmember from an 73-87 or 91 and run Jeep TJ springs in the rear.

My plan is 2" front and 4" rear drop with 5 lug front and rear with disks on the front. I've got a line on the correct coil 5 lug rear end and think I still have my Jeep TJ rear coils in storage.

At this point I think I am going to find a donor 73-91 Truck/Suburban for the motor and trans and gut the actual suspension parts (A-Arms, Spindles etc etc) and by some 2" drop coils for the front instead of swapping the whole crossmember.

Can I use everything else off of the same vehicle? Steering, brake booster, sway bar (if there is one) and possibly the steering column etc etc

Okay I see that someone makes a bracket to use the later model power steering box. Is that all that is needed?

Yes you will need an adapter plate to mount the steering box. If you want to use the squarebody brake booster, you will have to drill some holes to bolt it to your firewall. My booster bracket uses existing holes in the firewall, but is designed for different factory boosters.

If you go the donor route you can use the transmission crossmember from the donor, but I did not like the way it looked (not symetrical) from a 91 burb, so we bought a trans crossmember that was tubular. here are some pictures.

We thought this looked better and made more room available between the frame rails.

here is what we used from a 91 burb, that cost $700.00:
engine, trans, serpentine belt system, tbi, ps pump, psgearbox, complete front crossmember w/discbrakes and sway bar, wiring harness, buse box, tilt wheel, etc.......cheap and functional....
