Re: Gas Tank Question
John, what year truck do you have? The EEC tanks started in '71, not sure just when, early or late build date. My '71 has the EEC tank. On the passenger side is a tube or hose that comes off the tank and goes up inside the rear passenger pillar behind the door. Be sure you get a vented style cap to go with it. Hope that is some help.

Re: Gas Tank Question
I'm no expert but pretty sure the EEC tanks started in '71 and an original '72 1/2 ton would have the EEC tank. Is your truck 1/2 or 3/4 ton? 3/4 ton trucks did not have the EEC tanks until later into the square body era.

Re: Gas Tank Question
flashed, are you doing a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton, not sure but just curious. I like'm all, 67-72 body style is the best GM ever designed. Think in the last 5 years I've only seen one long step-side but many, many short steppers, short wides and long wides. 4x4's seem rather un-common here but do see them from time to time. Think there are 6 or 7 including mine here in town, SWB and LWB mix.
