Dreaded P0300 P0308 & P0341 Error 1999 Sub C1500
C1500 suburban had a miss in it after I changed spark plugs, wires cap and rotor. So I went off of code 341 and replaced the entire distributor. Mechanic buddy slapped it in there for me. I noticed the new distributor came with a cap. Was he supposed to just bolt it on and go? No adjustments were made. Is it set straight from the store?
Anyway….drove it and bam check engine light came back on with all three codes again. I can't figure it out. The sub runs terrible right now. HELP |

You have to make sure distributor is in right, sounds like its not. Put number one up on TDC and there is a mark inside the distributor. There is a number 6 and a number 8. make sure it's pointed at the 8. Once you have it in the right spot, you can make small adjustments to get rid of the Crank/Cam corelation code.

Re: Dreaded P0300 P0308 & P0341 Error 1999 Sub C1500
my 2000 Silverado was misfiring on one cylinder,,,,i replaced the coil - that didn't fix it. I tried swapping wires, and spark plug...to see if the misfire moves to another cylinder, but it stayed on the same cylinder.
turned out I had a bad fuel injector. I replaced the fuel injector a year ago and the light never came back

So the miss started after the service? Check the plug wires, the cylinders are 1, 3, 5, 7 on the drivers side, 2, 4, 6, 8 on the passenger side (front to back). It is not the same on the distributor. There is nothing on the distributor to adjust, there is only a cam sensor, but he cap does need to come off to verify it is line up properly with TDC. The code for a distributor that is not set right is P1345 (camshaft/crankshaft correlation error).
