Another Bed Removal Inquiry....

I am going to prep my bed for removal tonight (friends coming tomorrow to help lift) and have a few questions:

I am counting 8 bolts...is that correct?

What electrical wirings do I need to unplug? And where are these located?

I am afraid of getting it ready to pull off, then ripping something up because I didn't know I should have removed it.

Thanks everyone!

Re: Another Bed Removal Inquiry....

There is a rear light harness plug at the rear of the frame, unplug it. Then look for any ground straps from the bed to the frame. There will be 2 bolts at every bed support going to the frame, if memory serves it should be 8.

Swamp_Rat:

So there are no wires running on the cab side of the bed?

I am happy to hear it is simply that one harness..

And glad 8 seems to be the right number of bolts.

All the lighting wires should run down the drivers side, inside of the frame rail to the rear, you will see a big black rubber plug at the rear of the frame, unplug it.

Re: Another Bed Removal Inquiry....

The only time there is wires running at the cab side (driver front) is if there was ever a camper on the back.
