Re: Any 71-72's running BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A® KO

Ive run both the all terrain and mud terrain bfg's on my 71 K10 and was very pleased with both. I currently run 33 x 10.50's and was very surprised how quiet their mud terrains were.

I've run both the all terrain and mud terrain on my 71. I have never had any issues with those tires. I currently run the all terrains on my 97 GMC work truck.

Been running 33/12.50-16.5 BFG All Terrains (on 9.75" rims) on my K20 for several years. Great all-around tire, no complaints, though in certain conditions their width works against them. Not the fault of the tire, just that the carcass is too wide for some snow and mud, and you squirm around on the surface instead of digging in. In less gooey conditions the All Terrains are hard to beat.... excellent traction, tough and long-wearing. If I ever wear them out I'll look for something like a 255/85-16 on 7"-8" rims.

Thanks all. Would you consider them too much of a tire for a non K truck, regular driver? I like the look/size of them - but if they're too much for a C10 stock height truck, I may need to consider looking at another model.

Well, they are available in quite a few sizes..... exactly what size are you looking for? I've seen plenty of them on 2WD trucks. Good compromise tire for pavement, gravel, dirt.... anyplace you need more traction than a highway tread will give you.

I like my BFG ATKO's. I have had several sets in different sizes and they never have disappointed. The set on my K10 are 33X10.50's.

Not to sound like a wiseass, but you're not gonna have a C/20 look with 15" rims.
I'm not sure if there are OEM 16" rims for 5 lugs but you could try these guys.

Stockton Wheel is under new ownership. I know they had a lot of customer issues under the old management. I don't know if they've been resolved or not.
The 20 Series wheels on the page that I linked might be the way to go as they can custom should be able to make a 16 inch 5 lug rim that would fit the bigger dog dish hubcaps if that's what you prefer.
