Cowl leaks
Im getting some water inside my cab, one starts under the dash, drivers side around the support for the inner fenders and the other is the drivers side fresh air vent leaks around it. i checked for debris, it was clean, is there a seam in that area? if not im guessing windshield? how can water leak around the fresh air vent, the "lungs" are clean

Re: Cowl leaks
My suburban does the same thing. It is rotted under the dash right where the fresh air boxes are spotted to the upper cowl.
I plan on drilling out spots, and removing them for repair.

Re: Cowl leaks
Mine leaks from the spot welded seam in the bottom of the cowl, in front of the glovebox. I assume there was some seam sealer between the two panels originally. This picture I stole shows the seam.

Re: Cowl leaks
Mike... note that the rain gutter above the windshield if it leaks, it will run to the windshield post and down either to the side panel or agaisnt the inside of the firewall. I had that issue.

The seal on mine isn't the best and I get a few drops inside in a heavy rain. I haven't looked into it full scale yet, but after a brief look, I think that's the culprit in my case. That might be the case for your under dash leak. Jonathon
