New User/New Project
Just discovered this site, and I'm sure I'll need some help soon. I just bought my dream vehicle, a 1972 4x4 Orange Blazer. Unfortunately it needs some work, but not too much. Since my mechanic and body work skills haven't been tapped yet, I'll be badgering you guys for lots of advice. With help from you and my friends, most who have restored many cars and truck, I plan on having my K5 on the road by Christmas.

No pics yet, I never remember to take my camera with me. One of the things that will slow me down is that I have to keep the truck at a friends house. I live in an apartment, and travel most of the week, so I can only work on it during the weekends. It sitting nicely beside his '69 gmc stepside.
The body is good except for rusted out rocker panels and a rusted rear quarter panel. Its like dating a new girl that you can't wait to see. |

Where's Ararat??
Take Virginia Beach Blvd (Route 58) west till you reach the Blue Ridge Parkway, then just fall of the south side of the mountain. Its like heaven, and everyone has an old chevrolet whether its truck or Camaro or Chevelle. Unfortunately I spend too much time in Greensboro and in hotel rooms, but I do get to the Tidewater area every once in a while. Last edited by K5Hokie; 07-17-2003 at 01:02 AM. |
