Rearend bearing question
I have a 1971 Chevrolet C-10 truck (V-8, automatic, 2WD, longbed) fitted with a stock 8 7/8-inch 12-bolt rearend and 3.08:1 gears. I just bought a new Auburn limited-slip differential that I will soon install.
My question is … what are the correct carrier bearings that I will need? Yesterday I was a AutoZone and bought a pair of bearings that the guy behind the counter said "I think these are the correct ones." "I think" is a bit too vague for me … so I would like to know the exact size and/or Timken part number so that the install goes as it should. Thanks. |

Re: Rearend bearing question
If this isn't it, maybe you can cross reference or something (?) Pretty sure this is what you need. .. better than "I think" ?
