Flywheel and clutch help
Hey guys, Im putting a SBC 327 into my 72 Stepside and I have a Saginaw 3 speed on the back of the old I6 250.......My question is, will the flywheel and clutch that is currently installed on the 250 swap over to my 327? I plan on using the Saginaw 3 speed so im hoping it all just transfers over. THANKS!!!!

Bell housing, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate should all work. If the 327 doesn't have a pilot bushing in the crank you will have to install one. LockDoc

Re: Flywheel and clutch help
Yup, what LockDoc said. Also, its always recommended to replace the throwout bearing while you have stuff apart.

Will the harmonic balancer transfer over too?

Re: Flywheel and clutch help
No, you need a small block balancer. You should make sure the timing tab matches the balancer. Just a side note the small block 400 is external balanced and it's balancer will not work on anything but a 400
