In addition to the SWAB police van body the cab and chassis was ordered with the CP6 8600 GVW heavy duty suspension, 4:10 posi and turbo 400 trans.

That is what I would use it for too, is camping, you could fit a lot of luxuries inside that box.

Re: 28,000 mile 1980 k20
Initial overall mechanical inspection and fluid change on everything. The truck was bought at a state auction in 2005 and sat until I bought it. The tires are 11 years old and feel like it. I'm kinda leaning towards a set of sta traxion 9.50 x 16.5 tires.

Re: 28,000 mile 1980 k20
Very nice score! When you first posted the CL ad I thought it was still available and instantly started thinking of an excuse to tell my wife why I needed to drive down to ALB and buy this truck
Lucky you!

Re: 28,000 mile 1980 k20
Sorry about that. I posted the ad because I didn't have any other pictures yet. I think I finally found a keeper. The crazy thing is I'm still looking at CL. I bought a 69' C10 and a 74' C10 last month.
