Sugest rear end for 72
I have 72 step with R4 trans looking to swap rear axel something with 373 gears and disc brakes! what doner might fit with little changes

if you have coil springs c10 there r plenty of 71-72 chevy trucks with the 12bolts avilable to bolt right in it and disc brake conversions are avilable readily to do it

Also check out 94-96 Impala rear ends, as they are 5x5 pattern already and have disc brakes. I am not sure on axle width, but might want to check that to see if it is close enough to what you have. Of course, you will have to clean off all mounts and weld on new axle pads. I would also suggest an aftermarket trac bar that locates to the trailing arm, like the Porterbuilt, so that you don't have to mess with trying to figure out a mount on the rear end. Plus, it will give you the advantages of the longer bar and less axle movement.
