My Model A Street Rod- otherwise Know as theMoney Pit
I was going to wait until spring when I will start on my Model A again to post pics. But Crazy Longhorn wants to see it. I bought it and drove it home then I started to rebuild it and kids and business and family slowed me down. Now that I have retired and my S10 is done and the wife is letting me work on her 64 I can restart my quest to finish the A bone.

Leon, as I get over this "little medical problem" I feel so much better and feel like doing things I've let slide. I hope I can get it running for GG's not finished just running so I can take it up there. I have about a 1/4" of lacquer paint to remove before I can paint it.

Did it have the SBC when you drove it home? Are there pics of what it looked like before you tore it down?

Yes it had a SBC in it when I bought it, I didn't take any pics before tearing it down. I have a 350 in it now with a 350 Turbo and a 8" ford rear end. The grill is 32 and I have a 32 gas tank . The original frame was twisted so bad the it was out of square by 1 1/2 " in the rear. The guy never boxed it . It also had a Mustang rack for steering also some REAL BAD bump steering. I bought a good frame and put all Chassis Engineering pieces on it. It's funny how my Radiator and grill shell with insert cost more than the A Bone did New.

Ray, have you had any extra time to mess with the A Bone? I still remember trying to buy this car when I was a wee lad. I'm glad it went to a good home!

Re: My Model A Street Rod- otherwise Know as theMoney Pit
Ryan, haven't done a thing to my Model A this summer. I started working for my Brother in Law and I have been mowing 45-55 hours a week. Been too busy enjoying my S10 to worry about anything else. Mowing will slow down and we have to put up Xmas lights and plow snow. The first thing I want to do since I'm parking the S10 because I get a 4x4 with a plow to drive is repaint my S10. I have gotten quite a few dings and dents from using it as DD. Picked one up last week somebody shoved a shopping cart into my passenger door and really creased it. I promised Momma I would get her truck so she could enjoy it. I'm starting on the body and want to put disc brakes on it. I'm going to paint it satin Black with SPI Epoxy. I will keep buying parts for the A Bone as I get extra money and try to get it running next summer.
