Got a solid offer from the local collector car lot
My buddy and I were just cruising thru pretending it was a car show and killing time this morning. The salesman made me a fair offer on my orange truck. I think prices are going up and these trucks are HOT.

Re: Got a solid offer from the local collector car lot
Well, they could have one one order for a customer that is like yours that would suit their customer. They saw a chance to buy your truck and flip it to the guy that had been in and wanting the truck like yours. Lets face it, there are people at lot better off than I, that can just buy instead of have to build what they want. Weather they don't have the time or make so much money with their time they can't take time to or just plain can't because they don't have the talent that some on here have. Take for instance a lawyer making $400 per billable hour, he don't have a lot of time if he is really busy to do a frame off. Same with a ER doctor working 30 hour shifts when he gets ten hours off he don't want to tinker on his truck he wants to see his family and his pillow. That is where the collector car lots and the brokers come in and that is why they can offer good money cause they see you driving and know they don't have to spend a dime to fix this or that . It can go right to another home. Jim

I'm sure they flip cars like that. I felt like I was in an episode of counting cars. Nobody making $400 an hour would drive this truck however. Calling it patina is kind. They needed something to keep the body shop busy. This would do it!

Holy smokes 20k for that? Now my offer seems low. It was way less.

Winning bid had zero bid history on ebay.
Don't believe everything you see at the end of the auction,...

Re: Got a solid offer from the local collector car lot
stomper,... you have a very cool truck.
I would hang on to it. Finding solid trucks is getting harder and harder. I've sold probably the three best trucks I've ever owned. I have alot of regrets. Finding rust free cabs is next to impossible. I'll be keeping my '69 swb truck,...

Agree with Keith, I wouldn't be so sure that one went for $20. I will feel even better about where I stand with my two trucks if it did.

They just keep going up in value.
$5k trucks a few years ago,... are now $10k trucks.
