Going to run at the track 1/4 mile on 1/26/14
Hello all,
I am taking my truck to the track tomorrow with some friends. 1970 CST10 LWB 462 Ci with mild cam, 770 holley, stock heads, etc, auto T350, 3.08 rear gears. It put down 340RWHP/376RWTQ on the dyno. Anybody running about the same setup at the track? I have no clue what to expect on ET and MPH in the 1/4 mile. Any guesses? I'll post my times tomorrow evening.

Re: Going to run at the track 1/4 mile on 1/26/14
We'll. it did alright.
94 mph @ 14.3 seconds. Smoked the tires through the 60 foot every time, even after burnout pits and without using the burnout pit. Just could not hook up. Best 60' was 2.9 seconds, which is horrible. Too much torque for those little street tires. Lol It was still fun.

Sounds like I'd be right on the money if you could hook it up. What tires were you running?

Running the old tires. Hankook 275/60/15. Dot marking are from 2009. Lol. Better tires would make a world of differance. Lol

I think with a little more gear in the back, a high 13 could be reached. thats alot of truck to get rolling with 3.08's. |

Re: Going to run at the track 1/4 mile on 1/26/14
I was by myself. Had a guy take a video of me, but he was really shaky and moving all around. It will give ya motion sickness just trying to watch it. Lol. So bad that I deleted it off the camera.
I was base lining the truck for reference when headers and posi with 3.42's. I don't know how much those items are going to help though. LWB trucks generally do t hook well.
