Re: More Dumb Aussie Questions
I put a different seat in my '49 many years ago. I removed the "surround" the part that goes across the front & the sides. Leave the back part that goes in front of the gas tank & between the doors. Then re in force the floor under where the seat mounts.
The bracket looks like its for the hood / bonnet. There are 2 brackets that go from the hinge bolts & connect in the center to strengthen the back of the hood. |

Re: More Dumb Aussie Questions
Thanks NVRDone it seems that the front section of the frame wasn't supporting much.
Well that explains it I hope seems suss it was in the truck I'm sure it was empty when it went there I thought it might have been a mount from under the dash. Shane

Re: More Dumb Aussie Questions
On the hood there should be the 2 brackets meeting in the middle with a small connector
bracket. It all goes together with 4 bolts & nuts. Have a good night. Im off to work. |
