2wd conversion parts?

I have a 70 GMC Jimmy that I'm wanting to convert to 2wd.

Is it true you can swap the suspension from a 71-72 2wd 1/2 ton long wheel base truck to the jimmy and end up with a 2wd conversion?

This would produce 5 lug wheels with coil spring suspension front and rear and disc brakes on front with drums on back....

I am trying to save up for the porterbuilt but this would be a quick fix.

Re: 2wd conversion parts?

Here's an article from sporttruck magazine that explains the conversion and gives you a dood idea of the parts needed.
