My 62 Winter Project Completed

My winter project is finally done, or very close to it anyway.
Lowered - done
New interior - done
Wheels & caps - done
Missing Hood & rear bumper - done
Lite mechanical overhaul - done
Brakes - sucks
Fresh carb / running & driving - done

I finally had a chance to get out and log a few miles today. First time on the road since November. Run and drove great except brakes are way to soft. I'm fighting with a stupid problem of the new 1157 tail/brake light bulbs way to loose in the socket. Any suggestions with that.
Thanks

Looks very nice! Glad your back on the road....sounds like your Mater cyl is gone or you are low on brake fluid.

Cool truck, sounds like the brakes need to be adjusted or you have air in the lines.

The bumper is new from Top Banana with a little homemade patina.

Re: My 62 Winter Project Completed

Thanks guys. I'm thinking the brakes need bleeding one more time, then it should be good to go. Few more small things to get sorted and I'm going to change the tire size on the front. Then put it up on ebay for someone else to take it to another level or not.

Re: My 62 Winter Project Completed

I think I have the tail/brake lights all sorted out, but I'm still not happy with the brakes. Can anyone tell me if the one man brake bleeders are better than the ole wife in the seat pumping method. Thanks

Re: My 62 Winter Project Completed

I think the master is ok because I'm not having any problems with the clutch / slave cylinder. I found one of the brake bleeders itself has a bad spot on the threads, so I'm going to replace them all.
