Brought this refugee from a rice field home Saturday..

Went Saturday afternoon and picked up this GMC. It was a few weeks in the making of the deal. Weather, time, being puny,, you all know the drill. Anyways, small block, th350 power steering and power disc brakes. Better than some, not as good as others. Runs and drives, just not sure what to do with it. Dig the turbine wheels,,, cool....

That is how my luck goes. When I am looking, they are priceless,, when I have them, they are worthless.

You gave that one quite a thorough cleaning. These are five lugs and seem to be in pretty good shape. I heve not got a chance to really look the truck over as closely as I would like. The weather is finally breaking around here so maybe this week.

I remember people called them "Dukes of Hazard wheels" way back then.

Re: Brought this refugee from a rice field home Saturday..

Finally got/took/made the time to mess with the Refugee truck. I gave it a pretty stout bath after finally getting it unloaded. Fixed a power steering leak, a header leak, put on the bumper and found some marker lamps. Before and after pics. It is getting ready to go on the market, wish us luck. Thanks, Fred.

Re: Brought this refugee from a rice field home Saturday..

It would be just a good old beater. You would not have to worry about the paint.

Re: Brought this refugee from a rice field home Saturday..

Looks better than the 74 k10 i pulled out of a rice field years ago while in high school for $100! The body on it was GONE. I had planned to use the 4x4 running gear under an 82 c10 but my dAd caught wind of it and put tthe brakes on that plan.

Re: Brought this refugee from a rice field home Saturday..

Listing looks great! That is a phenominal start for someone or just a solid truck to go down the road in. I like it and actually looking for one like it. Luckily a guy about half a mile down the road has one I am trying to convince. Good luck with the sale, should go quick!
