Need a computer type favor...

Moderators, bear with me on this one. I'm trying to find out if it's forum related. I brought this up to the attention of the site moderators few weeks ago but never got a response. I need to find out if I'm the only one having this problem.

Here's my problem:

When I clicked on the last post arrow on a thread my mouse scrolling locks up the thread and only way I can continue is to back out and re-enter the thread at the beginning. The scrolling then works that way for the most part.

The problem is only with this site. I don't have problems with any other sites that I go to on the net.

Sorry if it's been brought up before.

Thanks.

Re: Need a computer type favor...

Okay, maybe I need to explain further. I have a scrolling wheel on my mouse. When I click on the arrow to go to the last post of a thread, in the majority of time the thread locks up so I cannot use the scrolling wheel. I can back out and re-enter and it works okay then.

What I need is for someone that has a scrolling wheel on their mouse to try clicking on the last post to see if it will lock up the thread. Maybe try it on several.

Thanks again.

Try using a different browser, or update the one you've got. Could be your drivers for you mouse are corrupt (doubtful).

Thanks for response. I have the latest browser but the mouse wheel only locks up on this site -and only when I click on the last post. It works fine if I enter at the beginning. Just started doing this about 2, 3 weeks ago.

If no one else has the problem or can duplicate it, I'll try Mozilla Fire Fox browser to see how it does.

Maybe I'm dense but I can't figure out what you mean by this (When I click on the arrow to go to the last post of a thread). What arrow?

Re: Need a computer type favor...

On the "last post" column there's a ">" arrow to go directly to the last post instead of starting at the beginning. That's when mine locks up.

Here's what I have done since the last post. I'm trying Firefox browser and it hasn't locked up on me. It's a weird problem. Might have to delete Internet Explorer and start over and see what happens.

Re: Need a computer type favor...

It could be the ads on the page messing with your browser. Make sure you are up to date with adobe flash etc... Is it IE 10?

Hi!

I will attest that Internet Explorer will have strange anomalies that are inconsistent across websites, and devices as well. Google Chrome or Firefox are much better alternatives to IE. It sounds like you are already onto discovering this yourself. I just thought I'd throw that out there to affirm what you have mentioned.
