Transmission crossmember removal

Has anyone ever romoved a transmission crossmember from a 67 to 72? I have one that's bolted in and I'm trying to remove it to put in my 66. It's wedged in tight and seems that if I hit it one way or the other it will just wedge it more. Any help???? Thanks so much

Re: Transmission crossmember removal

I removed mine. Just use a BFH, hit the one side to twist it out.

Another good idea! That's why I joined this board. I'm just a shade tree mechanic
