Hookin up a trailer
Ready to set up a class 3 hitch to my C10 long bed.
Looking for some ideas on the design of the receiver. With the license plate hanging down a liitle past the bumper, and I would like to build my own assembly with as little less hitch frame exposed as possible. Any pictures of your hitch that I could use ? My truck is bone stock.Rides at factory height.

Re: Hookin up a trailer
What bumper do you have? I have a Hidden Hitch I got from JC Whitney on my '69 Short Step and you don't see anything but the little square hitch receiver for the most part. My truck has a period correct aftermarket step bumper on it.
I'd buy not build for this application and even more so depending on your welding skills and welder.

Re: Hookin up a trailer
Here is a picture of my son's Burb. It is a little hard to see the hitch but it is very close to the bumper.

Re: Hookin up a trailer
I just made my own and the opening is just below the license plate because here in Va. the tag must show and have an unobstructed view.
