Eastern Virginia Swap Meet?

I was curious if there was to be any swap meets in the upcoming Spring/Summer?

I recently purchased a '70 C10 and was looking to swap some stuff I do not need for some stuff I do need.

You know, a swap meet is a good idea! If I don't sell my '67 front end via here, maybe a swap meet would work for me.

Exactly what I was thinking - group of guys with similar interests swaping parts they don't need for what they do.

Better than Craigslist or dealing with a middleman.

Re: Eastern Virginia Swap Meet?

That's what we do on the parts board, more or less. I do a lot of swapping with friends. The name "swap meet" is misleading. Not much swappin' going on at a swap meet other than swapping money for parts. Any swapping you do with a vendor would result in you paying a difference or trading more of what you have for less of what they have. They don't haul all that stuff out and spend all that time to come out even.

Re: Eastern Virginia Swap Meet?

We've been trying to have an annual get together here in Richmond but turnout has been somewhat lack luster. We press to include some kind of swap meet even if it means just bringing stuff you'd like to unload. We will continue to have them as the venue becomes more reliable. Jonathan (VA72C10) and myself will continue to attempt to hold gatherings but he has been kind of busy with his new job.
