Gettin' Sketchy
Does anyone else doodle up a picture here and there of these trucks? Not so much now,but I used to draw my pipe dreams and list features just for kicks. Let's see what you have. Don't be shy. Not just looking for artist quality*,sketches to art is all good. I have some somewhere,so I'll find one to start this off with one I did when I was bored. Not a "concept" sketch. More like a day dream.
*see what I mean?

Re: Gettin' Sketchy
Here were my plans for four I had about 10 years ago. Plans have changed some, but the two GMCs are the two I still have:

Re: Gettin' Sketchy
Great! I knew I wasn't the only one. I'm sure we could turn up some nice sketches outta this bunch.
Here's what I sketched back in '81 when I bought a '69 K/10 Custom Camper. That think was saweet! Too bad you probably can't read the features listed at the bottom

Aww the simplicity of what a couple of lines can do to tell a story. Don't worry I've got some pics coming.

Re: Gettin' Sketchy
These re some great drawings so far. I have a drawing or two of other vehicles, too. I just may go ahead and try a new sketch for this thread before it's over. Been a while.
Looks like it didn't get hurt too bad and looks like you came out pretty well yourself. Although you do look like you could put a few pounds on

Re: Gettin' Sketchy
Special K, you're pretty good, I enjoy those pics a lot, good job. If you get in the mood to draw more, draw Dads Longhorn.
You might even be able to bring in a few bucks drawing members trucks! Fun thread. |

Re: Gettin' Sketchy
You are too kind...but flattery will get you everywhere. I'm a Leo after all (not a very typical one, though) I think my moon was rising when Venus was using the ladies room
I always did 2d drawings. I need to get into that 3d thing and maybe I'd be 1/2 decent. I tried and this is the best I could do

Re: Gettin' Sketchy
I find it very hard to draw 3D. As you can see mine look disproportionate. But none the less I love to draw.

Re: Gettin' Sketchy
I drew this up a while back, sure, then I had Chip Foose sign it for me. I'm awesome!
Please disregard the search bar on top of the pic, don't know how that got there!
