Anyone have any longstep pictures?
According to the VIN on my 69, it was a long step. I'm thinking of returning it to a long step but I've never seen one... Does anybody have any pictures of some?
Thanks, Tink

hi, i'm new to the 67-72 trucks and looking for a '72, saw the above picture. is there any info on this type of truck? i've never seen a crew cab version of these trucks. this what i want but not 4x4 or step. did they make other versions and how hard are they to find. can someone photoshop this truck, lower it, paint it dark green and put these wheels on it. thanks, thomas... |

6camaro9,
The crew cab trucks are aftermarket conversions and come in several styles. They come up for sale from time to time, and most or all I've seen for sale are 2wd models. Post the pic on photoshop board, there are some real artists there. |

That crewcab in the first pic looks awesome!
Here's another one I found on e-bay, it's an "ultra rare" one , not the best angle but... They're not that rare, just harder to find, I have a complete disassembled bed in my basement and another one in a parts truck. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2424721378

What years were the long step bed available? I'm thinking it went into the mid 70s? I was thinking of changing mine over to a long step.

The longstep in the pic that racedvl posted is rare, it's a 1 ton with a 9" bed. I've only seen 1 in person and not very many pics of them.

Thanks for posting all these pics! It is interesting but I'm not sure I want to switch back or not.

How long exactly is the long step? I'm goin to get an 81 stepside, but I dont think it looks as long as those, and the owner doesnt think it's the original bed. Wouldnt doubt it

The wood in a longstep is 97" long, the bed is 100" overall.
