Shaving my firewall, need help on AC components
Im doing an LS swap on my 72, I wanted to see if ya guys can refer me to anybody to get my firewall sheet metal filler. I know porterbuilt has them but just wanted to see if there is anyone else out there. I need ya guys honest opinions.
Also im not 100% if I want to keep my AC. I was told I could still shave the firewall and have my AC from a kit that "VINTAGE AIR" sells. But I also heard of some small ac units that go under the dashboard like under the radio or glovebox, not sure but if ya guys could please help me out and point me to the right direction. Thank you.

Re: Shaving my firewall, need help on AC components
For your truck if you want to run the Vintage air gen IV kit for your truck. This kit will be a direct bolt in to your truck and will come 100% complete. This will have ac-heat-defrost and this kit will go under the dash of your truck. This kit will have a firewall panel that will come with the ac kit and this bolts onto your firewall. If you want a smooth look like you are asking for you can run ac bulk head for on your firewall and this will be clean option for you.If you are handy with some basic welding and can cut some sheetmetal. You can go to a local metal yard in your town and pick up a small piece of sheetmetal. Then you can cut it out and weld in yourself. This is on option and here is one more option depending on your budget you have.We make a custom firewall for your truck.

I'm very pro Porterbuilt but I went with Infanti:

Yep. I ordered the firewall kit, the fuel neck filler and stake pocket fillers all at the same time.
