Re: Anyone removed truck rally wheel center section and welded into a wider wheel she
I have done several. I use a ziz wheel on a 4 1/2 inch grinder to remove the center. I have a huge welding lathe at work so I put an axle in the lathe and bolt the wheel to the axle so I can indicate the new rim, tack weld several times before welding.

I use the same technique as Mrweld except I normally make 15x10 wheels.
Lateral and radial runout usually indicates less than .007". I believe the production spec is .015". K
