[Vid] Got the Aerochambers welded up!

Hooooolllleeeyyy crap!

<Jim Carey> I like em a lot. </Jim Carey>

Talk about nice. Nice throaty idle with the turndowns. You definitely know something is there. When you romp on it its definitely loud. Not as loud as I was expecting, but thats a good thing. 40 series are MUCH louder. The nicest thing is, is that I cant even hear them in the cab. I do have some heat sheilding/sound proofing material in there. But if you got in the truck and turned the radio on with the windows up you wouldnt even know there was exhaust on the truck. The closest thing that I can compare the sound to is a classic 60's musclecar sound, its nice.

Ill try to get some video/soundclips for you guys.

Sweet!! Can't wait to here the sound clips, want something different than Flowmasters. I have 50 series on my 79,they are alittle louder than I prefer, atleast on my daily driver.

Give it a month or 2 of normal driving and you will love them even more!! They get louder....but still no resonation. I only have a tiny bit of it at idle in gear...that is all.

They seemed to get louder the longer I drove on them. I havent even ran them for 20 mins yet. I kinda want them a bit louder, but thats I guess normal for any muffler to get louder as the break in more.

yeah I know what you meant!

Ummm... the muffler shop was the only one around here that would do it period. Without the cats noone would touch it with a ten foot pole, and for good reason. But this place said if I kept my old piping on and they just welded the new mufflers in with some turndowns, that it'd be legal.

They kinda worked around the law. So the header extensions never got used. If anybody wants them Ill let them go for cheap.

I hope they sound as good as the hype cause I'm gonna try em' soon. I got a pair of 3"aerochambers in the parts pile. I have 2 1/2" Delta-flows now and like the quietness at idle and growl when on it. I couldn't justify $90 a piece for new Flows. Are they quiet enough to exit before the rear tire?

Yeah, sure they are. I didnt even have them dumped all the way at the axle and its no problem at all. I have to warn you, your going down in sound level quite a bit. They arent LOUD, but you still know they are there. 40 series are so popular because they are so damned loud.

With your new motor it should sound mean as hell. It will prolly be loud as hell too with that hopped up of a motor.

I think you have to get the divx codec to see the avi. files in WM9. Goto divx.com and get the codec if you want.

Haha, when I rev my truck like that, it shakes, your'se just kinda sits there... It does sound awesome, but I kinda like the natural sound of my engine, which is just as powerful, but just kinda drones a bit... I'll see if I can get a video of it too...

the engine bay shakes plenty. But I have a really nice suspension setup thats polyurithane and it keeps the shaking to a minimum.
