85 Chevy C-10 / project VIBE
Finally it's home! My truck came home this afternoon.
It may take a while to get completely done but I plan on cleaning it up, making a list of the parts I have and those I need. Then, I want to order a set of the famous PB extreme dropmember, buy new shoes with a little bit more bling (I'm not sure about the size 20'' or 22''...), big brakes and for the exterior, I'll go for the OEM look as I like it clean and simple. I've managed to roll it in the garage to find out that either it is a little bit smaller than I expected or the C-10 is a lot bigger than It seemed sitting in the driveway So I present you project ViBe

Re: 85 Chevy C-10 / project VIBE
So, here's the plan so far... This is not final but my idea is getting clearer Thank you
Plan for ViBe: Body-exterior: -Stock with side mouldings and trims -Original Bumpers front and rear chrome -Original Grill and dual headlight -Might shave the firewall?(not decided yet) Windows -OPP- One piece door glass kit for '73 - '91 GM Trucks Totally stainless Bumper to bumper body bolt kits, Frame -Powdercoating Black, charcoal or red Suspension: -Full porterbuilt setup: Front and rear extreme dropmembers -Front with options: Porterbuilt tubular control arms- CPP Power Rack and Pinion Steering Gear - Airlift Dominator air springs - Power steering hose kits -Transmission xmember - Upper shock relocator brackets - Rack and Pinion hardware/Tie rod kit - KYB Shocks PB sway bar Drop spindles? Everything powdercoated Brakes -Big brake kit front and rear CPP or ??? Wheels (I like these sets but have'nt pick one yet) -22 front and rear or staggered 22 front-24 rear??? Billet Specialties- Vintec series -SLD89 Billet specialities Bonneville G Billet specialities Rat Tail Raceline speedster 5 Intro vista II Gas tank -NoLimit 19 Gallons aluminium tank with efi internal pump Restored Interior Drivetrain (This is what I'd like but I may buy and rebuild a used LS...) CONNECT & CRUISE LS3 E-rod LS3 + 4L65e 376 cu.in. - 6.2L Air management -Accuair e-Level TouchPad Air Management Package I still have a lot to decide but I want it to look clean and simple. I would've like a cool patina and not going for full bodywork and painting. The guy I bought it from had just painted it and since I accidentally scratched the new paint... :wash: I'll have to paint it again! The more I look at it, the more I hate this color anyway(2013 Lincoln MKZ dark brown?!?!). I'll probably go for a factory color. Can't wait to start!
