rear wheels not centered
I have a shortbed crew on a lengthened76 suburban chassis. The rear wheels need to move foward 1" to be centered in the guards. It has a longer hanger at the back and a small notch in the bed cross member. I'm trying to find out what is the easiest way to move the diff forward. Can you slide the lower leaves forward or are they all pinned together. The front leaf mount bracket is welded to the chassis.

Re: rear wheels not centered
Don't know what the "Easy" solution is, but if you move it forward you'll need to shorten the drive shaft as well. Worth it? Hmm!

Re: rear wheels not centered
Shortening the drive shaft is no problem. It just don't look right with the wheels not centered!

Re: rear wheels not centered
Remove the rear axle and drill a new hole on the spring perch 1in off the center hole. That's the easiest way to move the axle.

Re: rear wheels not centered
thanks John, that sounds alittle easier than cutting and moving the front mount!
