Re: Ac vent balls

Yeah thats what my buddy got from lmc but the seal/felt covered tape isnt thick enough to hold the ball in. I am doing a garage remodel and adding hvac so I cannot find anything and want to see what an origional looks like.

Talking Re: Ac vent balls

are the two halve's snapped together all the way? I know that mine were the same way and I found the two halve's were not pushed in together far enough to make up the extra clearance between the ball and the inner and outer halves. be careful fitting those pieces together though 35-40+ years have made these very brittle. good luck!

Re: Ac vent balls

I have the opposite problem. With the replacement felts the ball is locked in there like I was planning to mount my winch to it.

Is there some way to screw it up? The notches in the front and back (the locking tabs) of the housing snap together, so can't get that wrong.
