new guy

hey every one. hears my back story my grandpa past last month and im taking on a truck he had hanging out in the back yard its a 69 GMC long bed v8 not sure whats in it for a engine thinking its a 307 but not sure. the frame is good on the truck but it needs just about everything for the body (Doors, rockers, floors, right fender, cab corners, and bed sides.) the motor seems to run strong tho. working on the clutch so i can get the thing moving around the yard and really start working on it and get it out of its death hole. this truck is way out of my world im more used to the 4 banger turbo charged world but im always into learning new things. im sure i will pick up alot of info from you guys like i did on my last forum. that a cupple links to my face book were the pics and videos of the truck are.

Re: new guy

you call it patina i call it rot lol. thanks tho it would be nice to keep original paint but it is just to far gone for it i think with all the cutting that's going to have to happen. hear in CT the salty winters are ruthless.
