Copied from a similar post
LSx Swap forum General consensus on no fuss manifolds is Trailblazer SS. Headers you can make fit, but top of the heap and made for our application are the Doug Thorley swap headers. Also the schoenfelds seem to be gaining traction. Here Only cons that I can fathom the expense of the big boys or modification of some close enough models. Otherwise these motors love a free flowing exhaust. |

Re: LS swap who's headers fit best
I used 2010 Camaro manifolds. I like that the exit straight down instead of angled backward.

Re: LS swap who's headers fit best
I tried to use stock '98 F body manifolds that are sometimes recommended... no go for me. I used a set of block huggers. They fit great and I didnt have to deal with an EGR block off. I'd probably go Pacesetter TBSS headers if I replace them

Re: LS swap who's headers fit best
There was a forum piece on this website, that had a group buy on the Doug Thorley headers. I have a set in my basement, but have not installed any yet.

Re: LS swap who's headers fit best
How about a little more info on what motor mounts/stands/frame position were used.
I see a lot of header threads but limited info on the setup which could make or break a certain combo......

Re: LS swap who's headers fit best
The engine was installed with the tubular CCP motor mounts, but the POL mounts would also work. The Doug Thorley headers were designed for just this truck frame and the LS engine combination

Re: LS swap who's headers fit best
I ended up with the ece/dirty dingo mounts and headmen husler mid length headers.
1 3/4. with 3' collectors, no frame mods needed. |

Might interest you , if you have questions please ask , I as most on here live for this stuff , ccp has changed their mounts , they are no longer tubular but made of plate , and actually work , as opposed to my situation with their old style mounts , nite mare
