My NEW 1971 C10
Just bought a couple days ago and the old girl is pretty clean---1 small rust through in the l rocker of course and i see someone did minor floor repair by the kickpanel.
This is the original stock 350/350 it runs good shifts great and even has the stovepipe from the ex manifold to the air cleaner! Overall it is un-molested and original---98% ? One question for you gurus----I have a grinding type noise when turning the steering wheel----upper/lower bearing? Plans are for a resto--not frame off but a good clean and preserve.

Good looking ride you got yourself. Enjoy it. On the noise make sure it's not the steering wheel itself grinding on the column when your turning.

Looks like a good find! Not sure what you paid, but I recenty paid $1600 for a rust bucket 72 K10. I'd love to find something that clean. As for the noise, not sure. Does it have front disk brakes?

Amazing find for anywhere,let alone Wisconsin. Some of the old-timers knew back then to keep their fishing trucks high and dry for winter so they'd last. Looks like one you can fix as you go or an easy resto now. That would be sweet restored as an example of the well trimmed Custom/10 it is.

Thanks for all the comments! great guys here----I should admit the truck came with a Tennessee title,the box looks like it may have only carried cotton puffs! super small dents and maybe 8-10 of them.
My mechanic Buddy this am agrees on the column bearings being bad hence the grinding noise. I ave driven this locally about 70 miles lately and had 3 offers to sell already and dozens of thumbs ups! Sure wish it had power disk brakes! Everything works and is stock to my eye and to each his own I love the comments such as---unmolested/Grandpas truck (whitewalls?) survivor? not so sure about that. Well its going to be 90 plus today and I am going to start sanding the white to repaint that--- Thanks to all and have a good day!

Anyone have a --secret-- polish for the grill surround? I know the hard way not to sand it as this is just a coating on here.I tried polishes and rubbing compound so far---better but not as nice as Id like. Thanks
