Here's some progress since last post. Got a A+ state inspection today. Happy chick here 😆 Really wanting to do a flat or matte color. Was wanting orange but may do a army green with a army tribute to my grandpa on the back glass. He had a 74'

Re: Progress

I like the Cragars.....

The orange and cream two tone. That is classic chev IMO. One of my favorites.
Always thought army trucks should be 4x4 don't know why just my vision of an Army truck I guess?

Build it to meet your needs and wants if those change rebuild it again.

Talking Re: Progress

Yea I hear ya on the 4x4 thing. I'm really leaning towards flat. When I go to paint and I have a change of heart,my back up is gun metal grey . Always been in love with that. We are square body poor ATM so I have some time to decide. Just a good wet sand is needed? Right?

Re: Progress

Satin would be awesome for Olive Drab. Then you can pin stripe orange flames along the upper sides(not the entire front end, just above the upper body line) all the way back into his rank insignia..."THAT" would be sweet!
BTW, KEEP the Cragars! You can have them powder coated like black chrome!

Re: Progress

Mine was Olive Drab when I got it. I don't particularly care for it and am working on painting it, but to give you an idea of what it looks like:

Re: Progress

I like the orange, my dad had a '76 that looked a lot like the pic above.
