72 K20 discs to a 68 c2500??
I have been hunting for a disc brake setup from a 72 3/4 for my 68 3/4 for sometime with not much luck but I just found a rolling frame 4x4 with disc brakes for a great price ,, would this work on my 2 wheel drive?? My thinking tells me no but just wanted some clarification.. Thanks

No. 4x4 and 2wd have different backing plates. Why not use 73-87 stuff? 3/4 ton 2wd is a pretty popular setup, should be plenty in the junkyards.

I have been searching for 72 b/c I figured it was the only option for a clean swap for 67-72 trucks... Is the 73-87 compatible?? B/C if I can use the setup from 73-87 without major modification then my world just got a little easier!!

Check out the board for a tutorial on brake upgrade swaps. It should answer any question you could have. I'm putting an '80 C20 setup on the front of this '69 GMC C2500 we've got. It'll also get a TBI and 700R4, otherwise, it's a paint job away from beautiful.
