New guy, new truck, new experience.

Howdy yall I just picked up this beauty a week ago. 86 Sierra Classic 4x4 5.0 700r4. showing 80k on the odo but its likely rolled over. its got some rust but the frame, body mounts, and suspension are all solid. The interior is showing SOME age but not a lot. power locks, windows, cruise (don't work), aftermarket head unit with a non working cd player and crap speakers. the 305 has had some work done, its got chrome valve covers, long tube headers, and a chrome air cleaner. true 4" lift with 35's. she runs and drives good and even shifts good after a two hour drive from picking her up. I eventually want to do an LS1 swap with a manual but keep the 4wd. if possible. I was told when I bought it that it had a crate engine but it don't look like that's the case. regardless I only paid $2700 for it. She needs brakes and an exhaust leak fixed but that's about it.
Ive got some mechanical ability so ill be doing most of the work myself. what I have tools for anyway. living in an apartment its hard to do. any advice or help yall can offer id greatly appreciate!

Heres some engine pics. The transfer case is a 208c correct? as you can see no leaks.

Nice looking truck, seems like it has a lot of potential there.
Could I trouble you for close up detailed pix of the A/C compressor mount on an engine with headers so I can do mine?

Need a bed! supposedly the left side tank leaks so I aint worried about it. I aint tried to fill it up yet either. Any idea what to search for to find another?

You can get a new tank from AutoZone for about $110. Well worth the money, plus you get to keep your dual tanks! I'd fix it the right way, rather than eliminating the dual tank setup.

The 20 gallon and 16 gallon tanks aren't too much different in price. Since you have a long bed, it will bolt up just fine too. My new 20 gallon tank cost like $115-ish.
