72 Gas Pedal stupid question

Trying to replace my plastic gas pedal and can't get the pin out! Tried everything and it won't budge. Does it push out? Screw out? Maybe it's rusted in the pedal rod. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: 72 Gas Pedal stupid question

Remove the assembly from the truck and put it on a work bench.
I can't remember if I used a punch to drive it out, or if I grabbed it with vice grips or a combination of the two, you get the idea.

Re: 72 Gas Pedal stupid question

Squirt some WD40 on it and let it soak in. It pushes in and out, does not screw in
