Hi, I'm new to the forum an admiring all the great looking builds here. I"ve been looking for a Blazer for about a year now. Why are they so hard to find?
Willing to spend decent money on an original non rusted truck. I have a 74 Bronco Ranger I'm getting ready to sell but if I can't find a nice original Blazer I just might have to keep the old Ford.

Not mine. Been for sale for a bit...been on eBay twice I think. They're usually all dissolved in our neck of the woods.

Thanks, Really looking for a 71,72. Most of the ones in ga are rough woods Trucks. That 70 looks nice its close to my house but the engine bay looks a little rough for the price..

Thanks , I've always want an early Blazer I like the size of a fullsize...
I appreciate the recommendations but looking for a 71 or 72 Model.

Thanks. It is where I've spent all of mine. Sharp Bronco by the way. My brother-in-law has one that he is having restored.

I own a 71 Bronco Sport, which I've restored, in addition to my 72 Blazer. I never understood why the early Broncos brought such big money compared to the first gen Blazers. The ealy Broncos were made for 10 years (66-76) so there are a lot of them out there (granted with various ungrades to the drivelines). GM made the first gen Blazer for only 4 years, so they are relatively rarer.

I should have thought of that 6 more years of production would definitely
Put more of them on the street... The more I look at blazers I've noticed they have rust issues just like the broncos.which one do you like better ?

I've got both, a 76 Bronco and a 72 Blazer.
Both are back to bone stock show room condition.
Using my East Coast standards for pricing (not sure if its demand or popularity based), but the Bronco is worth more than the Blazer by around 10Gs

+3 ..agreed, about twice the price for any condition early Bronco in like condition. I hadnt checked the prices on them in many years, then checked out of curiousity last year and about fell outa my chair. No comparison in size, ride, capabilities, passenger comfort, convenience, options, so it must be pure aesthetic and emotional I like them all, Bronco, Blazer, Scout, CJ

Give it some time, and the 69-70 features will grow on you too. 'course front discs can be added discreetely to any of them.

Since you said you liked them all. This is my 18k mile original 1979 Golden eagle cj7
v8 auto . Lets get back on Topic Where are the rust free 71,72 blazers out there.... I need one Lol....

Wow tbruz. Great looking pair. I forgot that I've got a very similar Bronco stored. It's completely stock and probably wouldnt take much to get it pretty clean.

Now my 72 Blazer...........that's another story.

Wasn't meaning to hijack the thread, just wanted to share that for some strange reason the Early Broncos are worth more than the the Gen 1 Blazers. Finding that's true from basket case condition all the way up to when restored to BJ quality condition.

I would agree watching the sales on both. There is a lot more broncos out there too. No mention of you wanting to sell your Blazer bummer lol...

I like the updated features on a 72 . Disco brakes , cst door panels, factory air and the updated front grill..
