YES YES YES YES YES YES!
I only use Pheonix. They are 5 miles from my house. Every single tranny they ship out gets operated on a dyno behind a real engine. No one, and I repeat no one will build you a better tranny. They build their own torque converters right there in the shop. The shop is air conditioned and clean! I was in there a while back and they were building this huge automatic tranny. I asked them what it was out of and he told me a brand new diesel pickup. It seems the guy delivers RV trailers all over the country with his trucks. He has Pheonix build go through his trannies so he knows he can depend on it, anywhere, anytime, with any load. A brand new truck, with a warranty, and he believes enough to have them go through it and beef it up.
My wife's Blazer has a Pheonix TH350 in it. My 69 has a Pheonix 700R4 in it.

Hi Tx Firefighter Thanks for the good words about Phoenix transmissions. I am planning on having them build me a 4L80 for my truck and was just curious if anyone on the board has used them. They seem like real nice people and all I hear about them is good. I have made alot of calls to them and they are very helpful and knowledgeble. I am going to come down there to have them install it. I am calling them tomorrow to give them the go ahead on building the trans. I should be going down there next week or the following week. Maybe we can meet down there, always nice to meet board members.

Thanks Droped 67Step. I am excited about the trip to Texas. I have now been in Texas since 1972. I am retired from SBC and worked in south texas Brownvlle , Padre Island and McAllen back in 1972 for 4 months when they were real busy down there and could not keep up with the work. We had a ball down there.

I was planning on using Phoenix Trans for my truck too when it came time. I want to get one of their "Quadzilla" 4L80E transmissions. It's awesome!
