WIW NOS 64-66 aluminum grille

My uncle has a NOS aluminum grille he bought back in the day for $100 he put on his restored 66 k20 that NEVER gets driven (maybe once every other year for about 30 mile). He was just curious what the NOS aluminum grille's are going for now. He said he may have another one laying around somewhere.
Thanks!
David

Re: WIW NOS 64-66 aluminum grille

I will start off with saying that I have no idea, hopefully someone has seen one sold....

I would say it is worth lots, but the true test is probably a 10 day ebay listing, at the end it is worth what the final bidder bids....
I would probably say that after you get up around 2-300, that the action might slow a bit , under that it would probably sell all day long

and with the prices I have seen for nos fenders and rockers, I bet $500-1000 is not too far off...

What might make a pretty significant difference in worth is how "fresh" the grill is. A nice brilliant finish on an early strike grill will bring tons of money over a dulled, shelf worn, later grill with lots of strike lines showing. By strike lines, I mean obvious scratches made by old worn tooling as the part is pressed. If you've seen these marks, you know what I mean.
