checking compression Inline 6
Can you check the compression with the engine out of the truck?
Is it possible? How would you go about doing this?

Re: checking compression Inline 6
Same as in the truck. Plugs out, throttle open or carb off if it's already off. Hook up battery to starter and either put a switch in or jump the solenoid. Use gauge as usual. Make sure engine is stable and nothing is going to get caught on ring gear etc
