Early OBS 12V Accessory Power
Hi,
This is a two part question. 1. Does anyone know how to (or has already) add 12V power outlets that turn off when the key is off, but are on when the key is in ACC or RUN positions? I would assume you could just tap into the interior fuse box for accessory power... 2. Does anyone know how to make the cigarette lighter socket behave in the same fashion? I had read on another board that you would need to add a relay (activated by accessory power) and possibly a diode (to eliminate discharge from the relay during power-off) to make the cigarette lighter socket work. Thanks. |

Re: Early OBS 12V Accessory Power
You just change the cig light wire from battery power to accessory power. Depending what you want to power from the socket determines whether you need a relay or heavier wire etc.
