new here

Picked this baby up last week for 700. kinda new to the chevy thing. I am mostly into wheeling and drive a toyota 4x4 so...

it has some rust, and plywood as a bed floor. it has a 283 and I think a sm420, but I cant remember how to tell visually the difference between the 420 and 465 so.

it is 6 lug, has the eaton rear end. it is torsion bar front and coil/trailing arm rear

interior.

previos owner did the paint and carpet. looks like whoever did the 283/four speed swap used the jaws of life and a torch to cut the hole for the tranny

what is the knob closest to the sttering column on the right side for? It doesnt do anything as far as I know

Hi Xextr3m3, and welcome from California.
That was a good find. What are your plans for your truck?

put shocks on this pig today

and all I can say is

this is what I had to deal with on the driver side rear, so i left to come back to another day. Just in case you dont know that shock mount is supposed to be on top of the frame supported by that bracket directly behind the current bolt
