Anyone here running Flowtech headers?
How's the fit/finish/quality? I need a set of headers badly...and hooker comps are way out of my price range right now.
68 C10, 406 SB in the I6 frame holes.

I have a set. They're not bad really, they only bad thing is the angle of the collectors. I have a 4 inch drop in the front and I have 4 inches at the most of clearance from the ground. The actually bolt up really easily and I haven't had any leaks since I swapped over from header gaskets to stock manifold gaskets.

I was afraid someone would tell me the collector angle is bad.....anyone running headmans or whatever those other cheap ones are? I'm going to be dropping mine too, and want as much ground clearance as I can get.

They do angle down quite a bit. I hear the Hedmans angle up though. I like the Flowtechs, but then again I don't intend to lower it drastically enough to have clearance issues.

My friend is running the Flowtechs, they angle down quite a bit. I heard from a few people on this board running dynomax headers that they run parallel to the frame. You can get the painted ones for about $99 a set out here. I think thats what I'm going with

I dont know..I used a set of flowtechs that were close to parrallel to the frame...your welcome to them for shipping and handling

I have nothing but good to say, My FLOWTECHS have been on for 3 years and still look great (HPC coated) they run pretty parrallel to the frame .
I would buy them again no questions asked. They have never gave me any sealing problems what so ever... My .02 John

I got em and like em real good. No leaks for a year now and the collectors do turn down a little but I corrected it by welding my pipe straight back off the collector. They do hang a little low but I rarely drag them.

I have hedman's.I got them for 120 out of summit.I like them.I did have a sealing problem.That was my fault though.I didn't have the back bolt on the driver side tight.It blew the gasket out.I put a new gasket in and tightened them.Started it up and let if cool off again.And retightened them.They didn't leak.
My buddy has flowtechs and he likes them.I don't see a problem with them.I went with the hedman's because they had 1 5/8 primary's I think the flowtechs are a little smaller. I also plan on having mine coated.The painted melted off pretty quickly.

I tied a set of big tube chevelle headers on my truck....wouldn't come close to fitting...maybe because its a 67

I just installed a set of flowtechs this last weekend and was very impressed with the fit and finish. I paid $89.00 and they came with everything needed to install them.

I've got flowtech's. They've been on the truck for nearly six years, and are holding up just fine. I'd buy another set. The price is right, and there aren't any clearance problems with the clutch linkage. here's a picture that shows the collector angle, and the relationship to the chassis. If I were you I'd jump on the deal that Jim offered.
