56 Napco GMC 150

There are some really nice build threads on here. Finally I got the motivation to start on my old truck. It is a 56 GMC that is very rough, but it can be fixed. It is a napco that I found not very far from where I live.

It is a deluxe cab gmc. It had chrome bumpers and grille and also the interior has the chrome dash and knobs, and also the interior was painted body color.

I am going to go back all original with the truck.
Here it is and its UGLY!! Haha

Somebody had removed the stepside bed and put a home made flatbed on it at some point in its life.

I started the teardown a few weeks ago. Surprising to me that most all of the bolts and screws were easy to remove and did not break off.

Re: 56 Napco GMC 150

Yes ChuckDriver there are some other cabs in the background. The other 56 cab is going on this truck. The original cab is very rough on this truck. The door hinges are ripped out and the floors and roof are very rusty. So I found a really nice cab off of an old firetruck and I am going to use it for this project.

The other cab is a 65 chevy I am working on also.
Yes bajabob the 19.5's really make the truck look aggressive. I had to cut the old tires off with a sawzall:

I got the frame and wheels back from blasting the other day:
