Clutch Pedal Bushing Help

I need to replace the bushing the bushing that inserts into/between the clutch linkage and pedal assembly. While trying to diagnosis a squeak in my clutch, I noticed this bushing is half gone.

I have checked three different local parts shop and can't find one. I was also looking online and can't find the right size. The bushing measures 1/2 outside diameter, about 1/2 long and is made of plastic.

Any suggestions on where I can get one? Thanks for your help!

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushing Help

I had a BB new old stock z-bar setup. It had no bushing there. Is it a possibility the hole was worn and the previous owner installed a bushing the he had or was able to find that worked. If it was me, I would weld the hole shut and re drill it so it's not O'd out. You could look at the LMC Truck parts catalog online, they have a schematic that shows all the parts. I don't think you will find a bushing there, but I could be wrong.

My rig is all original too. Got it from my father-in-law but you may be right that something wore and he found a fix. I didn't see the bushing shown in the LMC schematic, but I think I found a source for the bushing.

I guess I hadn't diagnosed the situation soon enough to act on your FS parts. My linkage bar does have wear on one side. I'm not sure if the bushing will solve the problem or long term I will need to replace the linkage bar.

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushing Help

If its not too wallowed out a bronze bushing or steel sleeve might work.

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushing Help

I am not sure of the size but maybe a door hinge bushing would work.

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushing Help

The extra clutch parts I got with my truck have no bushings there, only where pedal shaft moves in the brake pedal sleeve. I'd do like stated above and grind the burr off and weld it up solid then re drill the hole. The clutch pedal will come out pretty easy without taking the brake pedal assembly/ bracket out of the dash.
