Looking for patch panels
Looking for patch panels, I know they are mostly made in China buts who's are the closet fit. Front fenders included, looking to replace them too. I know LMC does free shipping if you spend $1000 does anyone else?

X2 on Top Banana. I do have a few panels at my shop if you wanted to check them out firsthand.

Re: Looking for patch panels
The topbanana floor panel fit very well except in the front where it meets the firewall, which was way off, and the holes that meet up near the kick panel were way off as well. Holes were easily fixed, but the firewall/floor section needed to be pie cut, new metal bent into shape and welded in. It took this rookie easily an extra 4 hours on the first side, and probably at least 2 on the second side. The outer rockers fit pretty well, just a little tweaking required, no big deal. A Pillar and B pillar lower section parts fit very well, as did the cab corners.

Re: Looking for patch panels
Same experience with top banana as the above poster. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that every truck is different due to damage, wrecks, etc... Lots of variables here. I would use as much original sheet metal as possible and use the patches to fix only what is needed.

Re: Looking for patch panels
Please take note on top banana..... Your parts will arrive... when their available... but your 'information and communication pertaining to your item" will be mediocre at best.
I bought a few parts from them... never know if their in stock or on their way... but they do just randomly show up. I was never in hurry so I never cared. Parts were always what I expected and at a fair-best I could find price. Just an FYI... do research in the Product/Vendor review forum area

Re: Looking for patch panels
I have no luck getting in touch with Top Banana. I figured they closed doors or something. Good thing I am not in a hurry for my patch panels. What brand do they sell? Maybe another vendor sells same brand.

Though the website is kind of weird, they do ship good quality parts.

Re: Looking for patch panels
Well I emailed LMC and Top Bannana and LMC won't tell me who their manufacture is and I haven't heard back from Top Bannana yet. I guess I will be going with nsane hot rods if I can hear back from him today. In the end the prices are very close but I aleast have heard from Nsane earlier.

Re: Looking for patch panels
I know that LMC is Tri Plus, made in Taiwan. I think the fit is pretty good on panels I've used.
Does anyone actually make panels in the USA? Who? |
