Installing New Gauges?
So what has everyone done to secure their new gauges in place? I purchased a new set of dolphin gauges and am not sure on what I need to do in order to keep them in place in the dash. So any help from those who have done this would be appreciated. Pictures are good too. Haha. Installing these in my 1948 Chevy Thriftmaster.

Re: Installing New Gauges?
First will need to know what size gauges you have? It dash stock? Do you want this to fit in the stock locations? Hard to give an answer without more info...Jim

Re: Installing New Gauges?
Yes that would help. I have stock locations with the 4 5/8 gauges. The dolphin ones are a direct replacement from the stock ones except they do not have the tabs for stock studs. O did purchase this holder off eBay to eliminate the stock chrome gauge trim rings. More of a flush mount.

Re: Installing New Gauges?
I bent some flat bar in a vice to give me 8 L shape tabs, then I drilled a hole & bolted them in place using the stock threads at the rear
