New Owner 1964 C-10
Hello everyone - Figured I would start out with the regular introductory post since I am new to the Chevy Truck world.
I just picked up a 1964 SWB C-10 Fleetside that was a lifetime California car with minimal rust. This car was kept mostly original with the exceptions of airbags for suspension. It has a 327 in it (which I don't think was available for the C10 until after the 64' models came out, someone can correct me here), with rebuilt carb, new plugs wires etc. I will mostly be using this to make my 3 mile commute to work but plan on going to shows etc. and meeting others as the weather gets better. My plans are focused around reliability and drive ability so I will be scouring the boards for things like upgrading brakes, steering etc. Also the work was done by Brother JD out of California (his show Turn and Burn was on the Discovery channel last year), and it is exactly what I was looking for since I dont have the space or know-how to do it all myself. Cheers, Joe |

Cool. Not usually a big fan of the whole suede paint thing going on these days, but I will have to make an allowance on your truck. It looks awesome.
Welcome.

Welcome to the board.
Nice looking truck, cool to have it with some history. The first photo looks just like it could be a diorama photo. Same photo with the whole truck in shot would make a very cool poster.

Welcome to the forum
Nice looking truck. You are correct. The 327 wasn't available in the C10,20 and 30 until the '66 model year.
