I have a hard time believing it. Even if it's true it dones to really matter considering what it looks like. But certainly worth the asking price :-)

The engine is exactly one year younger than me! Not sure on miles but a lot of the bigger trucks didn't get a lot of miles. If I was closer I would be on it like a duck on a Junebug!

Someone should post photos for prosperity sake when the ad is taken down. I would but I'm on my phone.

Re: 18,000 actual mile C30 on clist

Personally, unless mileage can be documented (i.e. consecutive repair orders showing mileage history or registration inspections, etc.), I NEVER believe any mileage on any vehicle with only 5 digits in the odometer. They could have been rolled multiple times and you'll never know. Don't get sucked into these "low mileage" ads.

You can also look at other key details. A big one is the rubber pads on the pedals. A true low mileage truck/car will show slight wear but be close to new. Most over 75,000 will look warn out. Paint on the steering wheel, areas where the keys rub when driving, seat material, etc., etc.

It's all in the details. Looking at this one, I bet rolled once or more on the odo.

OP-looks like a great truck. Congrats!

Above poster-I change my pedal pads every 100K so you may get tricked on that if that is all you look at. The other things you mention are very valid.

What Mike said. Seats don't start tearing w/ so few miles, and the brake pedal pad is gone.

There's a unicorn for sale down in Waycross. Not the ordinary white one, though. This one is the much rarer pinto.

Ive been watching this truck. Its a re-post, not 7 days old.
About a month or older, figured it was to good to be true, a scam or FUBAR.
BE CAREFULL.
Oh, I forgot... this is Laurens county, cops dont play.

Really? Worth every penny? With the wear it is showing on the upholstery and the pedals you know the ad is a lie. What would you do if you bought that thing only to discover that pristine 18,000 mile body has rust holes at the sills and rear cab the size of footballs that were stuffed with newspaper and burlap; bonded over then sanded and painted to look "just like an original 18,000 mile truck"? I have seen that very type of repair done by the "King Of Bondo" in Melbourne FLA.

The had has at least one lie in it. If you want to find out just how many more the owner is willing to tell, buy it and get ready to feel cheated. Never, Never do business with someone who will lie over something that small.

Wow! I have to agree it doesn't look like an 18k mile truck to me either. But you're assuming a lot of things from looking at a few pictures. Like previously mentioned if that thing was a workhorse and never really hit the roads I could see if being in the condition it is.

X2. Like stated before, some one LOOKED at the truck and based their decision on what they SAW, not what someone said or what a picture looked like on the internet. Sellers lie all the time, vehicles don't.

Re: 18,000 actual mile C30 on clist

I also said I was going to go look at it before I got my trucks. BUT, being I have lived in Ga. most of my life, ive never seen a Ga. vehicle that didnt need extensive rust repair. I assumed it was to good to be true, a bondo buggy, or a scam like those Runion folks were lured into.
My neighbor was one of those, " buy a $200 P.O.S., add $100 worth of bondo to it, throw some paint on it and seel it for $2500."
Watched him do it time and time again, and it made me sick.
Im sure the new owner will run numbers etc. to find out what it really is. If its the real deal though, I wouldnt trust the seals in the engine or the trans. After a few runs it may start leaking , smokin, or faulty wiring could melt. You know the drill.
If its a lemon... ill buy the doors.

Like as a buyer? Because as a seller there's VERY LITTLE WORSE than people who are just "into" that type of vehicle coming by in the guise of an actual interested cash-in-hand buyer just because they're interested in seeing the truck. Like a mini car show. [I have no idea what -your- intent was, just using it as a jumping off point]

One thing that is worse is when I'd list a part in the newspaper classifieds (dating myself a little here). You'd get a call basically like this: "You've got a WHAT? Really? I've needed one for years, I don't care what the price is!". Then the receiver falling on the table, tires squealing as he leaves... but nobody shows up. I never got that. And I mean for parts, not a car where I suppose you could drive up/by and see it's way worse than you thought or something.

Oh, also worse is when you find a truck and some dude dumps all over it even after you've bought it and posted that fact. Sheesh people.

Re: 18,000 actual mile C30 on clist

I've seen this one before also. I too tend to doubt "low" mileage on 5 digit odometers but if this was a farm truck, I have seen worse wear on low mileage trucks. It looks as if it spent most of its life outdoors and as Mock1 can attest, central/south Georgia is hot and humid in the summer (which seems to last from April to late October) and it takes its toll on paint and interior components.

Yeah, really. It's humid here year round. The only state where you turn your heat on in the mornin and ac in the afternoon, with 80% humidity all day.

Well I wouldn't say the only state....You know the weather that you get in GA came by AR first. Just saying. Jim
